We build the finest staircases in the world…

...for a staircase you can be proud of.
Some of the customers for our unique staircase manufacturing creations include the Ross Perot Family, Aaron Spelling, Michael Dell (of Dell Computers), Mark Cuban (owner of the Dallas Mavericks), and T. Boone Pickens Estates, as well as six Mormon Temples and the Governor's Mansion in Utah.
We can custom design and build, as well as work with your plans. All of our products meet specialized requirements and our dedicated staff takes pride in building each design.
At our over 30,000 square foot facility located north of Dallas, Texas we have more than a century of combined experience in creative design and construction. We produce a variety of other custom products including cabinetry, wall and floor treatments, ceilings and trusses.
Our metal shop consists of welders and blacksmiths who, using our forge, can create your custom designed baluster system with brass, bronze, or aluminum custom casting accents.
Our CNC department was the first to produce full 5-axis manufacturing of handrails. We can provide the most difficult of parts in any style for your handrail requirements. We can also make radius moldings and casings in any profile.
Our Product Catalog contains a wide variety of examples from the many designs that we have created for customers like you.
Our manufacturing process is original and personalized. When you buy one of our products you deal directly with us. We do the model construction, the intricate wood molding or carving, the metal shaping, the shipping, and the final setup at your location. We do not use distributors or retailers.
When you order a staircase from Smith Design & Manufacturing, you can be sure the product you receive will be of the highest quality in both design and construction.
